If you are on a cPanel server you might encounter issues regarding login into the WHM panel just like in wordpress. There are various reason for login failure and most common one will be the one related with firewall.

Below mentioned error is related with SSL.

(An error occurred during a connection to . Peer’s Certificate has been revoked. (Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate)

How to troubleshoot this error.

1) First check from your machine if this is an error caused by your browser alone.

Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption > Validation > Disable OCSP

Once that is done restart the browser.

2) If it is a server related problem then you need to disable the option always redirect to SSL. Once this is disabled there won’t be any force redirect to use SSL so you can access without any issues.

SSH to your server as root user and perform the following.

Open the file.
/var/cpanel/cpanel.config
# vi /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and set the following options to 0 (zero).
alwaysredirecttossl
requiressl
—-
alwaysredirecttossl=0
requiressl=0
—–
Save the file and exit.
You should be able to access the WHM back. You might need to clear the cache and browser preference before accessing again.
